Universal star Mohanlal's upcoming film Kandhahar, to be directed by Major Ravi is making a wave since the time it was announced. The most notable thing with the film is it's interesting star cast. Last week, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan had made his desire to be a part of it and now it's hearing that Tamil Superstar Surya too will take part in this project.Major Ravi is a well known director for his millitary films like Keerthichakra and Kurukshetra with Mohanlal and Mission 90 Days with Mammootty. This new film, Kandhahar which is based on the Kandahar Indian Airlines flight hijack incident which rattled the nation in 1999 is planned as a bilingual made simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam and will be shot in Kerala, Delhi and Nepal.
It was earlier reported that BigB have the role of a father, whose son is one among the hostages of the kidnapped aircraft and it's now hearing that Surya in all probability would be playing Amitabh's son in the film. This news about the roles of the stars can't be finalized since these all are romours and other thing heard is that Tamil film Naadodigal fame Ananya will be the heroine for Mohanlal in this film.
With Superstars from Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi joining together for this venture, expectation for it will be sky high and let's hope that this film will keep up to it..
