Red Chillies, Mohanlal's first movie of the 2009 directed by Shaji kailas made it to the theatres with good initial collections. The movie produced by Rejaputhra films and distributed by Vysakaha release was released in around 65 theatres in the state .
The investigative thriller have Lal playing the role of OMR, an NRI who runs an FM station in the state. As per the early reports, the film is receiving very good collection reports from the very first day of release.The film is all about a murder mystery revolving around a gang of nine Radio Jockeys who were working for OMR (Mohanlal).
Many have opined that the movie, though with a slow beggining, has been an edge of the seat entertainer and will become the first hit of the year.
