Mohanlal's son Pranav in Saagar Alias Jackie

Malaylam Superstar Mohanlal's latest film is Saagar Alias Jackie - Reloaded. It is a sequel to 1987 blockbuster Irupatham Noottandu, which was scripted by S N Swami and directed by K Madhu. Now the sequel will be once again scripted by S N Swami but will be directed by most stylish director in Malayalam, Amal Neerad of BigB fame. Now the latest story that relates with this new movie is that Mohanlal's son 19 year old Pranav Mohanlal is making his debut as an adult actor opposite his dad.

One of the most stylish as well as expected film in Mollywood, Saagar Alias Jackie features Mohanlal in the title role itself, a character played by him in the prequel. Mohanlal will play the role of an underworld don in this new movie. This stylish film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner of Aashirwad productions. Pranav Mohanlal, who is currently studying in his 12th standard in a Ootty Boarding School, will play the role of a youth who takes on daddy Mohanlal in the film.

Pranav Mohanlal have acted earlier in a movie titled as Onnaman, in which he potrayed the childhood of his father Mohanlal, who was the hero of that movie. The movie which was directed by Thambi Kannanthanam was not well recieved by the audience. Now this is the second innings for Pranav, who had now acted in a scene with his legendary father. It was an emotional moment for the 49 year old father who heaved a sigh of relief as the son got it right in his second take. The scene that featured the real life father and son was like that they were accidentally met on the streets of Dubai.

According to the people who were present at that time in the set, Pranav resembled his dad Mohanlal, when he made his debut in the movie Manjil Virinja Pookkal in 1980. His look in this movie clarifies the statement especially that tossed up curly frizzy hair. With Pranav making his debut as an actor, we can now expect a film featuring him in the lead very shortly.
