Director M. Mohanan after his sensational debut with Katha Parayumbol in 2007,now returns with Kudumbachitram,starring Mohanlal in the lead.Katha Parayumbol is one of the finest films made in Malayalam in recent times.
Mohanan is the brother-in-law of veteran Sreenivasan and a former associate of director Sathyan Anthikkad.He was actually waiting for some months for Mammootty to allot dates for Kudumbachitram.But the project was delayed due to the non-availablility of suitable dates. Finally, this young director chose Mohanlal for the project.
Kudumbachitram will also be a family-based subject,just like Katha Parayumbol. The script of the new film will be handled by the director himself.Produced by Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachitra, who made the recent Prithviraj-starrer Thirakkatha,Kudumbachitram is expected to start rolling by the second quarter of 2009. More details about the cast and crew are awaited.
