Ividam Swargamanu Movie Review, Initial Reports

Today, Ividam Swargamanu - Universal Star Mohanlal's Xmas malayalam release from Roshan Andrews got released in around 75 theatres. The movie is the second venture from Mohanlal-Roshan Andrews team and this movie also shows that this pair is a magical one in creating magic in the mollywood. Don't know what to say about the movie and Mohanlal's performance. In single words the latest malayalam movie Ividam Swargamanu is a normal family entertainer which comprises story, action, comedy, some suspense and also a lot of sentis.

Roshan Andrew's Ividam Swargamanu features Mohanlal as Mathews a simple common man who is farmer. The movie also features Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Lakshmi Rai and Priyanka Nair as heroines. Thilakan plays Jeremias, his father and Mathews tries to realize his father's dream of setting up a huge farmhouse with cattle, vegetables and the like, on the banks of the river Periyar. After Bhramaram, Mohanlal comes with a strong and different character.

While coming to the performance part, Mohanlal our lalettan is marvellous and once again he proved he is the one best for these type natural characters through his natural acting. Through this role Mohanlal once again proved that no one can replace him in indian film industry. Thilakan, Kaviyoor Ponnama also has don their roles perfectly. Lalu Alex is the main Villian in the movie and he made his character above expectations and i support him after lalettan in the movie. This movie also shows the mohanlal- shankar team and shankar also did his job wonderfully as a supporting character.

Other than the main cast, all others in the supporting cast of Ividam Swargamanu like Sukumari, Sreenivasan, Jagathy, Innocent etc. did justice to the roles assigned to them. Other positive things are Direction, situation comedies, nice picturization and the super climax. As per the first reports the movie is getting good response just like 'Bhramaram' and will be a must watchable movie. Also the movie will be the another megahit of Mohanlal in 2009.

'Ivide Swargam Aanu' is the latest malayalam movie featuring Mohanlal as a Farmer. The movie once again brings back the hit son-father combination of Mohanlal and Thilakan. The movie has three heroines - Priyanka nair, Lakshmi Rai, and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy. Mohanlal is playing the role of Achayan named mathukutty.

Also in key roles are Laloo Aalex, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Sukumari, Innocent, Jagathy Sreekumar, Ashokan, Manianpillai Raju, Shobha Mohan, Geetha Vijayan etc. Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri pens the lyrics that are set to tune by Mohan Sithara. The best Son-Father Duo on Screen Mohanlal and Thilakan come together once again in director Rosshan Andrews family flick Ividam Swargamanu.James Albert, the script writer of films like Classmates and Cycle, is the scenarist.Ividam Swargamanu is a realistic story, where the lives of common people are told.

Mohanlal plays a farmer, Mathews while Thilakan plays Jeremias, his father. Mathews is tries to realize his father's dream of setting up a huge farmhouse with cattle, vegetables and the like, on the banks of the river Periyar. But things go from bad to worse as a rich man by the name of Aluva Chandy (Lalu Alex) lands up. Chandy tries to buy his land but Mathews resists the deal.The film narrates how Mathews resists Chandy's wily moves.Ividam Swargamanu, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, also stars three heroines -- Priyanka Nair, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Lakshmi Rai.

Priyanka, who swept the Kerala state film award for best female actor recently, plays Betsy, a TV reporter. Lakshmi Lakshmi Gopalaswamy plays Maria, a manager of a financial enterprise company while Lakshmi Rai plays Sumathi, an advocate. The cast other than the above lead actors also comprises of Sreenivasan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Shankar, Kaviyoor Ponnamma and Sukumari.

Mohanlal to achieve a new look

Universal star Mohanlal is now all set to make a change in his appearance. According to some reports, after completing the dubbing work of his Christmas offering, Ividam Swargamanu, Mohanlal went on to the Gurukripa Heritage Ayurvedic centre in Koottanad, near Pattambi for some kind of rejuvenation course.

This Ayurvedic rejuvenation will last upto a span of about two weeks and as of now Mohanlal has spent almost a week there. According to them, this Rejuvenation package reduces or slows down the aging process markedly. They also claims that this course will make the people younger and alert, flush out the antioxidants and slow down the aging process. It also helps the skin to get better and glow with excellent reduction of wrinkles and muscle weakness.

It is hearing that Mohanlal is undergoing such an ayurvedic treatment for his upcoming prestigious film Casanova, which is all set to start by the first week of next month. In that out and out romantic comedy film, Mohanlal must look younger and savvier as he will be wearing designer outfits in it.

Sameera to debut in Malayalam opposite Mohanlal

The hot news to hear from the Malayalam film industry is that the Bollywood beauty Sameera Reddy, who did a memorable role in the Tamil film, Vaaranam Aayiram alongside Surya is now all set to mark her presence in the Mollywood. As per the reports, Sameera Reddy will act opposite none other than the Universal star Mohanlal, in his upcoming prestigious film, Casanova.

This Bollywood hot actress will be one of the three heroine in this movie Casanova. Apart from Sameera, the other heroines that this film features are Lakshmi Rai and Roma. This stylish film will be scripted by Bobby-Sanjay team and directed by Roshan Andrews, who had just completed his current Mohanlal project Ividam Swargamanu, this year's Christmas offering from the star.

The other notable thing is that Sameera was fixed as the heroine for Mohanlal at the same time when Shriya Saran, another hot actress was fixed to play the heroine for Mammootty's Pokkiriraja. Sameera had just now completed her part in the Tamil film Asal, alongside Ajith. Shooting for this new Malayalam film will start on January 5th at Dubai.

Mohanlal-Sreenivasan team is back

The outstanding combination that thrilled the Malayalam film lovers with their class films are back again to do the same. The team of actor, scenarist and director Sreenivasan and Universal star Mohanlal is back with a film titled as Oru Naal Varum, which is to be directed by T K Rajeev Kumar and produced by Manian Pillai Raju.

Mohanlal will play the lead role, while Sreenivasan too have a prominent role in this film. The team of Sreenivasan and Mohanlal is back after the Superhit Udhayananu Tharam and this team is joining with Manian Pillai Raju after a very long gap of twenty years. All these three men were seen together in the film Vellanakalude Naadu, that got released in 1989.

Mohanlal proved his simple nature

Universal star Mohanlal proved once again that he is an honest human being first and a star second, when he admitted that he will not be able to do justice to a role like that of 'Pazhassi Raja'.

The brilliant actor was interacting with an FM radio station when he made this revelation. He said it would be just foolhardiness to hope to do roles like the ones in 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha' or 'Pazhassi Raja'. Even if he did, they wouldn't be that good either, he added.

He also said that he has done several films that he has regretted about later. The Universal star of Malayalam films has always impressed his fans by being a very humble human being with impeccable manners. His latest candid revelation adds another feather to his golden cap.

Mohanlal honoured with Sree Chithira Thirunnal Award

Lieutenant Colonel Mohanlal honoured withe Sri Chithira Thirunal Award 2009 on last sunday 2009. He collected the award from the Chief of Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor in Thiruvananthapuram. The Chithira Thirunal Award was instituted by the Sree Chithira Tirunal Trust in memory of the King of Travancore.

The Sree Chithira Thirunal award which was first announced in 2006 is in honour of individuals who have made exceptional contributions in art, science, literature, medicine, education and cinema and the award carries a cash prize of Rs One Lakh and a citation.

Mohanlal, our dearest lalettan went emotional as he received the award from the army chief and said: “ My heart overflows with pride and happiness on receiving this award which carries the legacy of a great Maharaja.”
