Superstar Mohanlal's eagerly awaited Tamil film with none other than Ulaka nayakan Kamal Hassan, Unnai Pol Oruvan is now all set to delay by a month since the post production work for the movie is not over. This film is considered to be one of the most anticipated movie for the year since it features two of the living legends of Indian cinema for the first time together.
This film was all set to release by the date of August 12, as the date has a significance - 50 years back as a child artist Kamal’s first film Kalathur Kannamma was released on August 12, 1959. The dubbing of Unnaipol Oruvan is going on and it looks like it will take another fortnight before the first copy would be ready. Then the sales of the film has to start and it looks like the film will make it to the theatres only in the third week of September.
Another major reason behind the shifting of it's release is that Ramzan Fasting period is to start on August 21 and will go up to September 17, during which collections will take a big dip especially in Malabar area in Kerala and Nizam territory in Andhra. Also the makers of this movie doesn't want to compete with the other biggy from Kollywood, Vikram's Kandasamy, which is scheduled to release by August 15th.
