Earlier, it was rumoured that Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal's big budget film Casanova might get shelved for the financial viabilities that the movie may cause to it's producer, Confident Group. But now, it's almost confirmed that director Roshan Andrews have temporarily decided to hold on his ambitious Mohanlal and Tamil star Arya starrer Casanova.It is hearing that the director is presently working on yet another project that too will have Mohanlal as the lead actor in it. The script of this yet to be titled movie is by James Albert (Classmates and Cycle fame). And the notable thing is that this new film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under his production house, Aashirwad Cinemas.
This new film is considered to be a family entertainer with a medium budget. This new film will feature Mohanlal as Mathachan, a middle aged Syrian Christian, who works as a farmer. The shoot of the film will start in June and the character and other details are being worked out by Albert and Rosshan who are now finishing the paperwork of the project.
