After Thanmatra it's Kanal

Superstar of Malayalam, Mohanlal and Class director of modern day cinema, Blessy are once again coming together after the commercial as well as critical hit Thanmatra. Thanmatra was a nice movie with a splendid act from the ace actor Mohanlal, who bagged the best actor award for his role in that movie. Thanmatra featured Mohanlal as a common man who is suffering with the disease of Alshimers.

Their new movie is titled as Kanal, which will feature South Indian actress Bhoomika Chawla as the female lead in it. In this new film, Mohanlal will present himself as a Lorry driver travelling through the high ranges of Kerala. The film is produced by Raju Mallaickal under the banner of Ragam Movies. Ajayan Vincent, son of director Vincent as well as a notable cameraman in Tollywood will wield the camera.

Except the lead pairs Mohanlal and Bhoomika, some others in the cast are Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Murali (Bharat Gopi's son) and Baby Niveda. The shooting of the film will begin at Ernakulam on February 10th. Coimbatore and Marayur are the main locations. The film is likely to be completed in one schedule and will be Mohanlal’s summer release in May.
