Pranayam for this August 26, as Mohanlal's Onam release

The latest to hear from the industry is that the new Malayalam movie Pranayam, written as well as directed by award winning director Blessey will be Mohanlal's this year's Onam release. Apart from Mohanlal, Pranayam also features Anupam Kher and Jayaprada in the lead roles and it is all about an unusual romantic affair between an aged couple.

It was earlier reported that Mohanlal's high budget film Casanova will be his Onam release, but due to some issues, shooting of this film was called off and later Mohanlal's Priyadarshan movie, Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum was scheduled to be the Onam release. It also got shifted due to the unavailability of the director Priyadarshan himself and then everyone decided to make Mohanlal's Sathyan Anthikkad film as his big Onam release, but it too was later shifted from being our lalettan's Onam release.

Everyone was dissappointed to hear that Mohanlal won't have an Onam release for this year, but it was then Blessey come up with his Pranayam as our lalettan's Onam release. Now this new film Pranayam will release on this August 26, as Mohanlal's big Onam release through Mohanlal's own distribution company, Maxlab Entertainments.
