The most sensational news, which on hearing every south indian film lover might get excited is out that the second reunion of the stars of the 80s was organised by Suhasini Manirathnam and hosted by Lissy Priyadarshan on August 29.
The union this year was more unique than last year because artistes from all the four states assembled for an evening of friendship, art, music and happiness. The one of its kind evening was called 'EVRGREEN 80s' and in total 29 celebrities of the era had a ball.
Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Venkatesh, Ambareesh, Sarath Kumar, Arjun, Prabhu, Karthik, Mohan, Suresh, Suman, Naresh, Banuchander, Pratab Pothan, Mukesh and Shankar were the male stars who attended the party. Ambika. Radha, Suhasini, Radhika, Sumalatha, Poornima Jayaram, Shobhana, Lissy, Revathi, NAdhiya, Ramya krishnan and Kushbu were the female stars at the party.
They shaped and nurtured a generation’s dreams in the 80s. They were more than actors for the audience, representing the realities and fantasies of life. They have now come to the peaks of their careers and some of them still lead the way. Some of the new faces of southern cinema also joined the veterans in the function. They spent the evening with music and dance. The actors will meet at ‘Evergreen 80s’ every year, each time in a different State.
The other two big stars, who missed the function are Kamal Hassan and Mammootty. It's heard that Kamal was travelling and Mammootty was on his Ramzan fasting, while this function occured..
