The latest news that we hear about Superstar Mohanlal is that he had backed out from the prestigious Malayalam film Yugapurushan. Although the news was in the airs for sometime, it is now officially confirmed that Mohanlal won't act in that movie. It should be noted clearly that there has been no difference in opinion between the actor and the directorMohanlal was about to play the role of Swami Vivekananda in the movie and the actor had also given his consent to play that role earlier.
The major obstacle for Mohanlal to act in this movie is that it needs him to take off his moustache for the sake of his character. Continuity has cropped up as a major problem here and the actor cannot afford to risk the shooting of Alexander the Great which had already begun for the sake of two to three days of shooting for Yugaprurushan. After holding talks with R Sukumaran, Mohanlal has decided to let go this project.
Shooting for the scenes that contains Mohanlal was to takeplace at Mysore and now the makers have decided to abandon those scenes and not go for a substitute. Shooting of this new Malayalam film is progressing in brisk pace that tells the tale of Sree Narayana Guru. Also this film features almost all major Malayalam film artists including Mammootty in it.
