Renjini to act opposite Mohanlal

You all might know about Malayalam playback singer Ranjini Jose who debuted into the world of Movie music, with the song 'Maasam Maasam monsoon Maasam' of Mammootty's Aparichitan in 2004. That song made her very much popular in the industry. There after she had sung nearly 35 songs for Malayalam and Tamil films so far.

Now she is all set to make her first appearance on the silver screen with a film being directed by Shaji Kailas, a reputed director in Malayalam film industry who made a lots of hit with all the leading actors in Malayalam like Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi. Her career started with singing a song for a Mammootty movie and now her acting career will start with the other Superstar of Malayalam, Mohanlal.

Ranjini is playing a lead role in Mohanlal starrer Red Chillies. She is one among the nine lead ladies in the film. Her character name is Isabella. This new film Red Chillies is all about solving a murder mystery. Mohanlal plays a character named Omar, an NRI businessman who has settled in the Gulf and runs this radio station in Kerala.

All his female staff (Radio Jockeys in Omar's Radio station FM 919.1) are madly in love with him and he always communicates through e-mails to his female jockeys. On a New Year eve, he promises that he will reveal his love for one of them. But in a terrible twist in the plot, they are murdered one by one.

This suspense thriller was scripted by A K Sajan and was produced under the banner of Rejaputhra by Renjith. The team of Shaji Kailas- A K Sajan and Renjith have earlier made Chinthamani Kola Case with Sureshgopi. This new film Red Chillies is slated as a Christmas release from Mohanlal.
